What’s up everyone? Welcome back to Mental Sweat Monday, I’m Hannah Huesman.
You know how we hear “find the good” or “find the small wins throughout your day?” I love that, but I’d love to also take it a step further.
Instead of just looking for those wins and seeing them from time to time, when we do see them, I want you to absorb them.
Don’t just notice them and think “that’s nice it happened.” Absorb it. Take it all in. Maybe even dissect it like you would something bad that happened.
Think about it. We love to dwell on the bad. What happened? How did this happen? Why did this happen? But we’re so quick to glimpse over the good.
The next time you experience something good, ask yourself these three things.
What exactly just happened?
How did this happen?
And why did this happen?
Often times we think that we just luck into something good when chances are that you did something along the way to deserve it. And it’s up to you to figure out what you did!
By asking yourself these three questions, you’re creating more awareness around the good, more motivation to keep going, and maybe even finding an upward spiral.
