What’s up everybody and welcome back to Mental Sweat Monday, I’m Hannah Huesman!
Today I want to talk about what it means to have a growth mindset.
A growth mindset is the belief that our most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work. That we can become smarter. Learn more. Learn quicker. And even view our challenges and failures as opportunities.
Whereas an individual with a fixed mindset believes they’re only as good as they’re ever going to be and there’s no point in doing anything more because this is as good as its going to get.
I want to challenge you to look internally and ask yourself “am I constantly looking for ways to get better.” In your job. In your workouts. And most importantly in your life.
When you have a growth mindset, you’re able to see your strengths, but also recognize areas where you can improve. You’re able to have your opinions while knowing that someday they may change. You’re able to recognize that we’re always evolving. People always ask me what I think always separates the good from the great. The greats are the ones who are always looking for ways to be better. They have a growth mindset.
