Let’s talk about pressure.

First and foremost, if you are experiencing any type of pressure, that means you did something to earn that moment. Pressure doesn’t just pop up out of nowhere! Pressure forms when you get an opportunity. Doesn’t that make pressure a good thing?

Pressure means we’re moving in the right direction and that we may be pushing our boundaries and seeing what else we can get out of ourselves. Billie Jean King said it best — “pressure is a privilege.” But it is only a privilege if we choose to interpret it that way. 

Can you normalize pressure? Can you embrace pressure? If everything was a cakewalk, we’d all be bored out of our minds. The elite level performers thrive on the challenge and the pressure to perform.

When you feel pressure, ask yourself — are you panicking or are you trusting?

Remember you didn’t just get thrown into the fire. You did something to create the opportunity you have. So trust your opportunity to handle that pressure.
