What’s up everyone? Welcome back to Mental Sweat Monday, I’m Hannah Huesman.
Happy Thanksgiving month! Chances are we are about to be inundated with reminders to be thankful. But I want to try to put some intent or some purpose behind that.
Do you know why it’s important to practice gratitude?
By practicing gratitude, you can change your mood, increase your happiness, decrease stress and even help you sleep better.
So today, be grateful for the past. You grew as a result of it. Think back to where you were just five or ten years ago? Take moment and be grateful for that growth.
Be grateful for the present too. You’ve earned it. Your job. Your house. Your family. You did that!
And be grateful for the future because you own that. You get to make the decision to go after whatever it is that you want. What you’re working towards is your motivation.
And that alone is worth being thankful for.
So, remember to be purposeful when practicing gratitude during this season of life.
